Looks like this is a bit of an oversight... I guess the solution in the short-term would be to take it out of the database.

I'd imagine that we were thinking about putting some sort of check/logic to let the user know if and where it was being used, but it has clearly been forgotten about... If you're needing it in the admin yourself in the short-term, you could add it to PageTemplateController in the admin and just use the data-toggle="fb-modal" with a link to a pop-up with a confirmation, maybe using Notification as a template, as it's nearby and pretty straight forward.

We'll put it on the to-do list to put it in the UI, with the checks and notifications that I mentioned. Also, just so you know, we've the project over to Github now at https://github.com/mrcms/mrcms. The code and archive will still stay here, but all upcoming changes will be pushed to there.

Thanks,
Gary

Hi, we've had a bit of discussion here, and the plan going forward is going to be in a couple of steps:
  • Overviews and MrCMS Concept articles will start appearing soon at https://www.mrcms.com/blog. These will cover your "How do I create an App?" "How do I create a page type" style questions.
  • Implementation guides will start being added to the wiki at https://github.com/MrCMS/MrCMS (not set up at the time of writing)
Hopefully between the two of these we should cover all the questions you're asking and more. Also, we have some of them already somewhat answered at https://mrcms.codeplex.com/documentation, and these will serve as the basis for the documentation that we'll free up some time to write in the next month or so.

Thanks,
Gary
